The Twelve Major Scales
The first step to learning to play is to know your 12 major scales. Practice counting from 1 to 8 on each scale. Note where your 1st 3rd and 5th are. These will form the major chords of each scale. (Example: in the G scale your G B and D form the chord because it's the 1st 3rd and 5th note in the scale)
